My life is better than I imagined because I started to slowly confront my truths and after publishing my book committed to being the best version of me.” – Jelani Daniel in an exclusive interview with The Caribbean Current.
Twenty years is quite a long time to know exactly what you want out of your business, much less sustain it successfully over the years.
“My work life has taught me that solving problems is more important than selling products.”-Jelani Daniel in an exclusive interview with The Caribbean Current.
Jelani sees leaders constantly making the mistake of shying away from people with a different style of leading and they forget the common goal – the advancement of humanity.
He has the Caribbean blood running through his veins as he was born in the island of St. Kitts and Nevis. There he, to this day, still attributes some of his life lessons being learnt in his homeland about community before moving to Toronto. One such lesson was to always help others no matter your current situation, be a friend no matter the past results and look past your current problems for future solution. He was taught this lesson particularly by his mother, a strong influence in his life who he said made him into the man he is today.
When he is not being an entrepreneur, an amazing husband to be or a father to two beautiful kids, he is a motivational speaker and author. His book has been inspired by his desire to share his thoughts and feelings with the world and motivate as many people as possible.
“What I learned from writing this book is when you commit to doing something that you care about you will get help, encouragement and support from places and people you least expect.” – Jelani Daniel in an exclusive interview with The Caribbean Current.
He hopes that audiences are able to decipher and appreciate a different opinion on the topic which can help one get the answers to some of life’s questions; also to believe in one’s self takes practice so don’t waste any time in doing so.
Additionally, Daniel launched his campaign Forward March, a movement and mindset program inspired by his beliefs and mantras for life. The Forward March movement is built on behavior towards others. It is not guarded by race, wealth or education. He believes that the movement is the key to developing strong minds of the youth, men and women of all ages; which will allow open-mindedness and a greater appreciation for their self-worth and the worth of others. It also sets out to develop stronger communities and societies on a wider scale as well as families on a personal level.
His book #Forward March Book Of Life was released December 23, 2015 and since then has been receiving a lot of positive reception from the literary audience who search for leadership; igniting the desire to be valued by others.
He continues to be a trailblazer as he seizes the day, having access to opportunities which are limitless. The world is his foot stool and he intends to make full use of his blessings.
“I would like to say it’s never too late to start finding yourself and living your dreams. Also don’t be afraid.” – Jelani Daniel in an exclusive interview with The Caribbean Current.
Stay tuned for more information on the strength of the #Forward March Movement.
