Jasmine Denham, singer-songwriter, has been performing for audiences around the world for over 25 years. Sharing the stage, television screens and recording studios with artists like Nelly Furtado, Serena Ryder, Keshia Chante, Kylie Minogue and the cast of the Broadway musical, Rent.
Formerly a Warner/Chappell UK Songwriter, it was her honour to have co-written the theme song for this summer’s TO2015 Pan Am and Para-Pan Am Games, Together we are one, sung by Serena Ryder.
She was just as gratified to be chosen as the Official Singer for the French version Ensemble on est Immense, celebrating her French-Canadian heritage.
Her involvement in the Pan Am Games did not end there; she was one of the official hosts of PANAMANIA! — which featured free concerts and daily entertainment during the Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games.
While the excitement of PANAMANIA! was a big focus of the summer, Jasmine continues her work as the Musical Director and Vocal Coach of YTV’s Summer Beach Bash, and as the resident background vocalist for the hit Nickelodeon TV show Make It Pop.
Jasmine’s work with YTV began several years ago as the musical director and vocal coach of YTV’s hit show The Next Star during its last 5 seasons.
Jasmine’s experience and hospitality will be on full display at the 4th annual Canadian Urban Music & Entertainment Conference (CUMC) and TDOT Fest in Toronto, Canada. She will be one of the esteemed panelists at the conference and will also host segments of the music festival.
The conference will provide a forum for music professionals to come closer to obtaining the access to enhance their creativity, improve their communication and better prepare them to effectively participate in the global multi-billion dollar music industry. The conference will be in the format of several intimate and interactive workshops, artist & repertoire (A & R) meetings, live concerts, networking lunches and private cocktail events. CUMC is committed to giving professionals a competitive edge and a truly revolutionary way to network, learn, and do business.
The TDOT Fest is a free 9-hour urban music festival celebrating the talents of unsigned and signed musical artists from across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond. Learn more here
She is looking forward to continuing her work with aspiring songwriters, singers, musicians and performers later in the year when she opens a state of the art popular music and performance academy called, The Stop.
