Minister of Tourism fully endorses two weekend-long events in April and May, 2017
The Bahamas is excited to host Fyre Festival 2017, slated to take place on April 28-30 and May 5-7 of this year. Set in the surrounding natural beauty of The Exuma Islands, Fyre Festival will deliver a one-of-a-kind immersive experience in music, culture, art, culinary delights and luxury for an unprecedented event over two weekends.
The musical performances, which will be staged on mainland Great Exuma Island, in scenic Roker’s Point, will feature popular artists such as the G.O.O.D. Music Family, Major Lazer and Disclosure (DJ set). Fyre Festival organizers recently announced that Blink 182, Migos, Lil Yachty, Matoma, and Le Youth will also be performing.
Additionally, Fyre Festival has partnered with ZERO to bring artists Lee Burridge, Rampue, Bedouin, Niconé, Daniel Cowel, Jan Blomqvist, Lovecraft, Bo, and Stephanie Roxanne to Fyre’s “Pirate’s Cove” stage. Blond:ISH, Tensnake, and Beto Abrahao will also perform. This enclave for electronic music will host a sunset to sunrise curated set and an array of top electronic / deep house talent. Additional headliners and the full music lineup will be announced soon.
The local Exuma community looks forward with delight to serving as host to Fyre Festival 2017. Local authorities have been working hard over the past months to prepare for the inaugural kick off on April 28. No efforts have been spared to ensure a wonderful experience for each of the thousands of guests coming for Fyre Festival 2017.

What Makes The Exumas Unique
The Exumas are an archipelago of 365 cays and islands, beginning just 35 miles southeast of Nassau. Once called Yumey and Suma (names of Amer-Indian origin), the islands have gone through many changes over the years. Today, they’re divided into three major areas—Great Exuma, Little Exuma and The Exuma Cays. Each offers its own unique Bahamian experience. Great Exuma and Little Exuma are known for their laid-back surroundings, while The Exuma Cays act as a playground for the rich and famous, boasting numerous private homes, luxury resorts and beachside condos. The Exumas are also rich in history, as they were settled by British Loyalists with their slaves following the American Revolution.
