Friends of Good Shepherd Mobay, Inc presents a brunch to benefit some underserved communities in Jamaica. The brunch will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Avanti Garde Ballroom, 5268 Nicholson Lane (by White Flint mall), North Bethesda, Maryland 20895. The ticket prices are $20 for a child under 15 years old and $40 for adults.
Special guests for the afternoon will be Curtis Ward, former Jamaican Ambassador to the United Nations and His Excellency Charles Dufour, Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica, and founder of Friends of Good Shepherd Mobay, Inc.
Good Shepherd Foundation Medical Centre is one of several programs that will deliver benefits to needy individuals living in Jamaica. This facility is located on the property of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Construction of this state of the art facility began in 2012. It will house medical, dental, orthopedic, physical rehabilitation units, and a pharmacy. The medical centre will provide occasional free health services offered by medical, dental, and eye care professionals and volunteers from overseas. The majority of the patients are the working poor and ninety percent are uninsured.
