TANICE MORRISON: The Reggae Soulchild creates waves by asking us to “DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY”
“It’s an amazing fusion of island groove music with the sounds and beats of Africa. It definitely shows my professional flexibility and range, that’s what makes me the most excited; to see my growth”. Those were the words from rising female Reggae sensation, Tanice Morrison. The heavily Afro-Caribbean beat lays the musical foundation for the singer’s new release, DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY.
Tanice Morrison is no stranger to the entertainment scene as for the last 16 years; the singer has used her experience and knowledge of the Jamaican music industry to hone the craft she now recognizes as her true passion. The teacher turned professional Singer/Songwriter grew up in the humble beginnings of St. Ann, Jamaica who later placed her education credentials on pause to focus solely on her music. Years later, backing some of the best within the Jamaican music industry including Richie Spice, one album released and a growing international fan base, the reggae Soulchild intends to create waves with this new high energy dance track.
The track produced by Raging Fire’s, Demar “Keysie” Gayle and Written by Tanice Morrison, DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY is a uniquely exotic and intensely addictive dance track predicted as a big hit for the summer. The track, although freshly released, is already gathering attention in Africa and Europe.
DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY comes on the wing of the singer’s latest hit reggae cover of the popular Whitney Houston number “Didn’t We Almost Have It All”. Morrison highlights the musical influences of the late R&B icon and how the cover has been one of the greatest push to her professional career. Her intentions are therefore to use this opportunity to show the world her musical abilities, her passion for reggae and her dedication to her country. “I don’t want people to just listen to my music, I want them to be influenced by it”. – TM
