Chef Magda, a Woman on Fire Fusing Haitian Cuisine with Western Flavors

She is the first woman of Haitian descent to open an authentic French creole restaurant in Toronto and plans to expand her vision throughout Canada.

Magda Sylvestre Louis-Jean is a chef with a passion for quality, healthy food and a long-standing family tradition of French Creole cuisine. After years of experience in the food industry, she began crafting her own take on “French Creole Cuisine,” fusing her soul cooking style by using traditional Haitian ingredients with Western flavours.
